Health Department Announces Rabies Bait Drop - WTRF 7 News Sports Weather - Wheeling Steubenville

The Wheeling Ohio County Health Department is announcing a rabies bait drop for local areas.

The bait drop will target the raccoon population in an on going multi-agency effort to create a rabies barrier in the state.

The bait drop is distributed out of airplanes along with hand distribution.

The baits are not harmful to pets, so there is no need to worry if they run into one in the yard.
