The True Value on Washington Avenue in Wheeling announced Sunday that they are going out of Business. Banners hang along the outside and interior of the store advertising deep discounts.
Owner Annie Hawkins said the situation is terribly unfortunate. She took over the business 16 months ago. Hawkins told 7News sales have been down and the only way to maximize the value of the store was to hold a liquidation. Wednesday morning, they began selling down to the bare walls.
"We want to thank everybody in the community who have supported us over the last 16 months," Hawkins said.
The sale will continue for the next few weeks with extended hours. The store will be open from 8 a.m. till 8 p.m. on Friday. For more hours or information call (304) 242-1002.
