A federal bankruptcy judge in Delaware has approved Esmark Steel Group's $4.75 million bid to buy RG Steel's Yorkville plant.

Esmark agreed to offer jobs to at least 230 employees.

Industry sources say the company is very excited about the sale and they are finalizing the details with local steelworkers. USW Local 1223 officials were not immediately available for comment concerning the collective bargaining agreement.
