Ohio Unemployment Stays the Same in July - WTRF 7 News Sports Weather - Wheeling Steubenville

The Ohio unemployment stayed at 7.2 percent for the second straight month.In comparison, the US unemployment rate rose to 8.3 percent.

According to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services it was the first time in 11 months that the unemployment rate did not decrease.

However the rate is still the state's lowest since September of 2008.

There are still 418,000 unemployed workers in Ohio but that number has decreased by 97,000 in the last 12 months.
