
The director of a the locally filmed thriller "Unstoppable" has died.
Los Angeles County Coroner's Lt. Joe Bale said Scott's death Sunday is being investigated as a suicide.
Authorities said Tony Scott died after he had apparently jumped from a bridge Sunday afternoon. They also said a suicide note was found inside Scott's black Toyota Prius, which was parked on one of the eastbound lanes of the bridge.
Scott is also known for directing Hollywood blockbusters such as "Top Gun" and "Beverly Hills Cop II."
Tony Scott was 68.
