Bellaire's Badia Tosses Game-Winning as Time Expires

The Bellaire Big Reds have pulled off some amazing comebacks over the years, but Saturday night's was one for the ages, scoring 25 unanswered points.

Junior quarterback Spencer Badia threw the game-winning touchdown as time expired to Nick Patrone giving the Reds a stunning 44-42 victory over the Steubenville Catholic Central Crusaders at Harding Stadium.

Bellaire rallied from a 42-19 deficit midway through the third quarter.

Badia finished the game with 424 passing yards with four touchdowns. He completed 37 of 64 attempts. Patrone was Badia's main target, grabbing 15 passes for 171 yards.

Steubenville Catholic's Brenton Collabella passed for 261 yards, and also threw four touchdowns, all in the first half. Receiver Zach Herrington hauled in seven passes for 154 yards and two touchdowns.
