
Hundreds of people poured into the Charleston Civic Center Wednesday afternoon to honor fallen state trooper, Eric Workman.
Police officials, state
troopers as well as family and friends were in attendance. Workman was shot and
killed during a traffic stop in Clay County last Tuesday. For more information click here.
Locally, Governor Earl Ray Tomblin has ordered that flags remain at half staff in order to honor the fallen state troopers. The flags will remain that way until sunset Wednesday evening.
The West Virginia Trooper's Association has set up a fund to help the families of Trooper Workman and Corporal Bailey. Anyone who wishes to make a donation can visit www.wvtroopers.org. Donations can also be mailed to 210 Chesapeake Avenue, Charleston West Virginia, 25311.
