It was a Subaru Legacy with New York plates and a trooper pulled it over for tailgating.
The passenger was smoking marihuana and the interior was filled with smoke. That gave the officer probable cause for a search and that search turned up 10 strips of 2 A C E hidden in a rolled up camping tent.
The drug is so new it's the first time the patrol has encountered it. In fact the street value is still unknown, but it is extremely potent.
"The particular form of a 2ce would be absorbed probably orally through the tongue similar to LSD," said Sgt. David Van Buren. "It last much longer than LSD generally the effects can last 6 to 10 hours and have been know to last up to 24 hours."
Now 23-years-old Brandon Hockerberry of Gowanda, N.Y. is charged with drug abuse. His passenger, 21-years-old Joseph Cascide of New York is charged with a misdemeanor and possession.
