Police investigating vandalism of Bellaire field - WTRF 7 News Sports Weather - Wheeling Steubenville

Crews worked diligently to clean portions of the Bellaire High School football field Saturday morning after discovering those areas had been vandalized.

Authorities at the scene said the concession stand, locker room and ticket booth had numerous amounts of spray paint graffiti.

There are unconfirmed reports racial slurs being written on the structures.

Officials with the school did file a report with the Bellaire Police Department.

The investigation is ongoing.
