Crowds pour out for Irish Bowling tradition - WTRF 7 News Sports Weather - Wheeling Steubenville

Saturday was the day for some Irish Road Bowling at Wheeling Park. 

Fifty-three teams of four people each signed up for the long standing tradition. Irish Road Bowling includes a 28 ounce iron and steel cannonball the size of a tennis ball that is thrown down a country lane. 

Team members take turns in rotating order. The team with the fewest shots to the finish line wins.

This is the event's third year is one of the largest in West Virginia and even in the country.
