ATV crash leaves 1 dead, 1 injured; OSHP investigating - WTRF 7 News Sports Weather - Wheeling Steubenville

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers out of Steubenville are investigating a one vehicle ATV crash that occurred at 8:20 p.m. Saturday in Harrison County.

According to authorities the crash occurred on Township Road 65, Beech Road, in Green Township.

Glenn R.Martz, 46, of Massillon, was heading northbound in a 2011 Polaris 500 ATV when he drove off the right side of the roadway, causing the ATV to overturn. Troopers say Martz was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The passenger in the vehicle, 42-year-old Ann. M. Dager, also of Massillon, was not wearing a helmet and was transported to Harrison Community Hospital with non-life threatening injuries according to authorities.

Troopers report alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash.
