Former Harrison County Sheriff Laid To Rest - WTRF 7 News Sports Weather - Wheeling Steubenville

Former Sheriff Rich Rensi was laid to rest Saturday in Hopedale.

Rensi is considered Harrison County's longest serving Sheriff.

He served his comminuty for 25 years--from 1971-1996.

Rensi suffered a heart attack late Tuesday and later died at Akron General Hospital.

Rensi was laid to rest at Green wood cemetery this afternoon and many area law enforcement officials were in attendance.

Rensi was 71 years old
