
The Charleston Regional Chamber of Commerce recently released its endorsements for the upcoming Nov. 6 general election.
The Chamber stated in a news release that it seeks candidates who advocate policies that would create high-value jobs, who try to improve the quality of life for all West Virginians, who work with the Chamber on economic development initiatives, who support "responsible" tax reduction and who try to attract and keep young people in the state.
The Chamber also gives weight to candidates it considers effective political, business or community leaders.
"The Charleston Regional Chamber of Commerce speaks out for the policies and reforms that create jobs, enhance our community and invest in people," Chamber Chairman Mike Basile said in a news release. "Central to our mission is endorsing candidates who share our vision for economic growth and opportunity for the citizens of the Kanawha Valley and West Virginia."
