Family and friends gather to remember loved ones for murder vict - WTRF 7 News Sports Weather - Wheeling Steubenville

It's a day that comes around once a year. An opportunity for family and friends to come together and remember loved ones they have lost to murder.

Tuesday night was the sixth annual event at Heritage Port in observance of Murder Victims Remembrance Day.

In attendance Tuesday evening, brothers, there in honor of their mother, Kristen Anderson.

Kristin was killed in a result of domestic violence in 2006.

Young brothers Eric Anderson and Michael Callarak came to remember their mother and also in support of everyone else who had lost someone.

Older brother Michael helps his brother Eric remember their mother.

Eric was just two years old when his mother was killed.

Coming together at events like the candle light vigil is important in helping people grieve and know they are not alone.

Even at a young age, Eric Anderson said he knows that they are going through hard times, just like him and his brother.
