Wheeling's Bryan Myers won his sixth consecutive Ohio Valley Golf Association Player of the Year award at the annual awards banquet dinner at Wheeling Park's White Palace.
Wheeling Park High School junior Thadd Obecny II, who was not at the dinner, won the Junior Player of the Year award.
Gary Schrickel won the Senior Player of the Year, and Andrew Chlon of Martins Ferry won the Lee Ann Schambach Scholarship worth $500. Brian Schambach presented the check to Chlon, in honor of his late wife, who died from cancer in April of 2009.
They also made special recognition for veteran golfer Pete Dellovade, and gave him a plaque.
