Senator welcomes World War II Vets - WTRF 7 News Sports Weather - Wheeling Steubenville

They are true heroes to the state of West Virginia and the entire country and today W.Va. Senator Joe Manchin welcomed 11 World War II veterans to Charleston.

The veterans served aboard USS West Virginia.

In addition to sharing their stories, the vets also had the opportunity to view artifacts from the ship they once served on.

"It is such an honor for our great state to host the USS West Virginia veterans this year," Senator Manchin said.
