
A seminar looking into how Jefferson County businesses can benefit from the Marcellus Shale Drilling boom is being held Monday at the Steubenville Country Club.
Executive Vice President of the Ohio Oil and Gas Association, Tom Stewart, is serving as the keynote speaker.
Several breakout sessions are also being held throughout the day for participants.
Meantime, the Students for a Fair Society are holding an informational two person panel at the J.C. Williams Center at Franciscan University of Steubenville
The discussion will focus on the cost and benefits of hydraulic fracturing, and it begins at 6:00 p.m.
Panelists include Dr. Yuri Gorby, Howard A. Blitman and Father Neil Pezzulo.
The event is free and open to the public.
