Masked Gunmen Invade Chester Home

Posted: Updated:

Monday at 9:30 PM, a Chester, West Virginia man was alone at his house on Carolina Avenue while his roommates were gone, when three masked men entered with a baseball bat and hand guns.

The masked marauders struck the man with the bat and left with some money and items from the house, according to Chester Police.

Police called an ambulance for the victim, however he refused help.

The victim said he said he saw the men drive away in a 2000 model red Honda Civic.

"My officer arrived and tried to take their [information]. There was a communication barrier, so we had a translator respond and got the information and are checking on some leads now. We attained some evidence from the scene," says Chief Ken Thorn of Chester Police Department.

The victim claims the three men were Hispanic.

Chief Thorn says they have some leads right now and look for this case to be solved in the near future. Next step will be to follow up on the leads, wait to see what the evidence reveals and possibly make arrests.
