
The St.Clairsville Red Devils started slowly, but eventually pulled out a 56-27 victory in Richmond over the feisty Edison Wildcats.
Junior running back Jaylon Brown, coming off a six-touchdown effort against Bellaire, was held to a mere 132 yards and two scores. Junior Michael Ferns, a Michigan recruit, added a rushing touchdown. Senior receiver Dan Monteroso grabbed two touchdown passes from senior quarterback Matt Kinnick.
Edison quarterback Nolan Marcus passed for 184 yards and two touchdowns.
The Red Devils, now 7-0, return home next Friday night to host Buckeye Local (4-3).
The Wildcats dropped to 1-6 and visit Martins Ferry (5-2) next Friday.
