A South Carolina woman who grew up in Wheeling has just launched her own line of clothing, and already it's getting worldwide attention.
Kris Warfield Galmarini and her husband, Bob say the arts are now being pushed out of the mainstream in public schools all over the country.
They say educators now consider music, art and theater as "extra-curricular activities" rather than important courses.
So they are using part of the proceeds from their clothing line, "Nev and Hawk" to change that.
The clothing line is named after the couple's children, Nev and Hawk.
They had a four-hour trunk show Saturday at Hughes Design Gallery on National Road.
The clothing includes screen-printed casual wear for children and adults.
