Voter registration ends for Ohioans - WTRF 7 News Sports Weather - Wheeling Steubenville

The last day for residents of Ohio to register to vote is Tuesday, Oct. 9.

All of the state's 88 county elections boards will be open until 9 p.m. Tuesday when registration ends.

As of Friday, more than 7.9 million Ohioans were registered to vote. The states' elections chief says he expects that count to grow slightly.

Recently, an appeals court has cleared the way for in-person early voting in Ohio on the last three days before the November election. To read more on what that means for voters click here.

Early voting for the general election began last week.
