Authorities have made an arrest in the Powhatan Health Center robbery.
According to Powhatan Police Chief Josh Haught, Orville Dale Baughman, 25, of Clarington, was arrested at his home Wednesday night.
Baughman is lodged in the Belmont County Jail on $17,000 bond. Belmont County authorities said Baughman is charged with aggravated menacing, criminal trespassing and possession of drugs.
Police are searching for a suspect who made off with a number of prescription medications from the Powhatan Health Center.
According to authorities the suspect entered the pharmacy at about 5 a.m. Police say they have a good idea who the suspect is.
Powhatan Health Center is an affiliate of Belmont Community Hospital. the parent company of Belmont Community Hospital is Wheeling Hospital.
Wheeling Hospital is making repairs to the building and currently conducting an inventory to see what is missing.
Another source told 7News the alleged robber entered through the roof of the building while a renovation project was underway. That source indicated the suspect entered through a hole in the roof of the health center.
The health center is closed Wednesday in order for Bureau of Criminal Identification (BCI) can process the scene.
Powhatan Point and Shadyside police departments are investigating.
