This Saturday, a Moundsville museum will celebrate its history.
The Marx Toy Museum will hold an employee weekend, where all former employees of the Marx Toy Factory that closed more than three decades ago are invited to come to the museum. The event will be a way to get those employees together to reminisce with each other and share some stories from when they worked at the factory.
While most of the museum's visitors are out-of-town visitors, Marx Toy Museum Board President Jason Turner said they do see former employees coming in with their families, wanting to share the memories with the next generation.
"That's what this day is all about," Turner said. "Getting those stories from the employees so we can continue to share them with our visitors and with the next generation."
The event is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Saturday, Oct. 13th. It's open to the public and is free for former employees of Marx, however they are asking for a $3 donation from the general public. For more information visit marxtoymuseum.com.
