Fuller to be extradited to Belmont County for murder case

One of the men charged in the murder of a 92-year-old Bellaire woman will be headed back to Belmont County according to authorities.

Devin Wayne Fuller, 19, waived extradition before Ohio County Circuit Court Judge David Sims.

Fuller is charged in connection with the brutal murder of 92-year-old Lydia Ashworth in her Bellaire home in June.

Fuller was arrested last week in Ohio County and charged in the brutal murder. His alleged accomplice, 20-year-old Brandon Michael Phelps is in custody in Belmont County and charged in connection with the murder as well.

The extradition hearing for one of the men arrested and charged with the aggravated murder of 92-year-old Lydia Ashworth has been scheduled.  

Next week 19-year-old Devin Fuller will go before Ohio County Circuit Court Judge David Sims for an extradition hearing. Fuller was arrested Wednesday in Ohio County and charged in connection with the brutal murder of Ashworth in her Bellaire home this June.

Brandon Michael Phelps, 20, who was already in custody in Belmont County on an un-related burglary charge, is also being charged in connection with the murder.

According to authorities Fuller is being held in the Northern Regional Jail until his hearing.
