7News has learned the two miners who were trapped have been rescued and have been safely brought out of the mine.
Emergency crews are working to free two miners trapped underground at the Hopedale Mining Facility.
Authorities say rescuers are able to see and communicate to the trapped miners, but are unable reach them because it's unsafe for anyone to walk beneath a "voided area" where the roof fell in.
According to officials on scene the roof fall occurred at the Hopedale Mining Company at approximately 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. The public was not made aware of the situation until a shift change later in the day.
