Bouchard comments on future of Yorkville steel plant - WTRF 7 News Sports Weather - Wheeling Steubenville

An event at the former Yorkville Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel plant celebrated the future re-opening under new owner ESMARK.

Chairman and CEO Jim Bouchard told the approximately 100 people gathered, that it was sad driving in, passing so many shuttered steel mills.

He said arriving in Yorkville, his spirits lifted, because this mill was going to operate once again.

Many people have expressed concern about ESMARK arriving at a contract agreement with the United Steelworkers, but Bouchard said he's not worried.
