
No.5 University used a back-up quarterback, and a stingy defense, to blank John Marshall 34-0 at Monarch Stadium.
Jack Armstrong, normally a receiver, replaced Travis Renner at quarterback and ran for 103 yards on 11 carries and scored a 49-yard touchdown.
The Hawks Chance Michael added a rushing touchdown.
John Marshall quarterback Jeramiah Fromhart had 41 yards rushing on 17 carries.
JM, now 2-5, entertains Morgantown next Friday night.
