Police arrest Bellaire man after fleeing - WTRF 7 News Sports Weather - Wheeling Steubenville

Police arrested a Bellaire man Friday night after he ran from police. 

According to Wheeling Police a green Mitsubishi with Ohio plates ran a stop sign on Wheeling Island. 

Officers activated their lights and sirens to stop the car and the driver, Eduardo Williams Jr., initially stopped in the Gumby's parking lot before changing his mind and fleeing into Ohio. 

Police say Williams Jr. continued onto Route 7 and the Belmont County Sheriff's Department took over the chase.

The suspect exited his car in Bellaire and continued to run from officers until being apprehended.
