Bellaire junior quarterback Spencer Badia threw five, first-half touchdowns in the Big Reds 52-14 victory over the Union Local Jets at Nelson Field.
Badia completed 19 of his 30 passes for 382 yards. He connected with four different receivers for scores, with Kenny Hess grabbing a pair of touchdowns on four receptions for 111 yards. Nick Patrone caught six passes for 100 yards.
The Big Red rolled up 502 yards of total offense, and are still in the hunt for a post-season berth. They came into the weekend in the No.7 position of the Division 5 Region 17 rankings.
Bellaire improves to 6-2 on the season, and will wrap up the season on the road for the final two weeks of the regular season, at Edison (Oct.19) and Martins Ferry (Oct.26).
