A bizarre incident sends a Belmont County man to a local hospital with a gun shot wound.
According to Belmont County Sheriff Fred Thompson, the victim was a 43-year-old man of Thompson Ridge Road in Jacobsburg.
Sheriff Thompson said the victim was shot in the arm and hand area around 11 p.m. Wednesday. Thompson also said when authorities questioned the victim about the incident, he was very uncooperative.
Authorities said the victim initially went to a neighbor's house for help. He was then taken to a local hospital where he was treated and released.
The Belmont County Sheriff's Office said they will forward the report to Prosecutor Chris Berhalter who may charge the shooter with or without the victim's permission.
