Police Investigating Fake Bill Passed at Wheeling Business - WTRF 7 News Sports Weather - Wheeling Steubenville

Police in Wheeling are investigating another case of counterfeit money.

Wednesday, someone used a counterfeit $20 dollar bill at Ideal Provisions along Main Street.

According to the owners of the business, the man then walked into Mountain Mama's, just feet away, and tried to get change for a fake $50 dollar bill.

They say when that business owner realized the money wasn't real, the man grabbed the bill and took off running.

Police were called in to investigate. The only information police are releasing about the suspect at this time is that he is a black male.
