When Vice Presidential Candidate Paul Ryan wrapped up speaking to hundreds in Belmont County Saturday he thanked people for standing in the rain to hear him.
'' We're going to take responsibility and fix this mess in Washington.'' Ryan said.
Ryan arrived just after 1 p.m. Saturday at Valley View Campgrounds in Belmont County.
Officials said it's one of many stops Ryan had planned for Saturday.
Ryan spoke for just a short time but some people on hand said his message was clear ,take advantage of early voting and elect Mitt Romney .
Ryan said Romney will end the ''War on Coal'', which he claims was started by President Obama.

Ryan arrived at Valley View Campgrounds a little after 1 p.m. Saturday.
Ryan told the crowd look at the President's record, he added President Obama will put coal out of business.
He asked Belmont County residents in attendance to head to early voting and elect Mitt Romney who Ryan said will end the war on coal.
''What is so great about this , this is not just about jobs, its about the meaning of America. We are America , we are an exceptional country.The government works for us the people and not the other way around '' Ryan said.
Ryan mentioned Ohio being a battleground state and mentioned several times Belmont County residents need to early vote.

Security is sweeping the area and setting up for Saturday's Victory Rally.

Republican Congressman and Vice Presidential Candidate Paul Ryan will be making a campaign stop in Belmont County on Saturday.
According to the Romney-Ryan campaign, Ryan will hold a victory rally with the Republican team at noon.
Doors to the event, which is being held at the Valley View Campgrounds in Belmont, will open at 10:00 a.m.

Anyone who attends the event will go through very strict security, described as "airport-like", and attendees are being asked to bring as few personal items as possible.
No bags, sharp objects, umbrellas, liquids or signs will be allowed into the venue. Cameras are permitted.
