CAMERON, W.Va. -

A world record was set Friday night in the town of Cameron.

The whole community watched as high school cheerleader, Maddie Ross, did 43 consecutive standing back hand springs before Cameron's football game.

Maddie is a student of the Airelette Acrobatic Academy and Dance School in Sherrard.

Recently, a 16 year old from Texas set the record at 35 back hand springs.

They are looking forward to contacting the Guinness Book of World Records about Maddie's accomplishment.
