The St.Clairsville Red Devils started quickly, and never looked back, in a 41-6 throttling of Harrison Central in the opening round of the Ohio Division IV Region 15 playoffs at Red Devil Stadium.
The victory marked the second over the Huskies this season, as the Red Devils won 42-6 in Week 5 in Cadiz.
St.Clairsville senior wide out, and Boston College recruit Dan Monteroso, caught five passes for 183 yards and two touchdowns.
Red Devil junior Michael Ferns, a Michigan recruit, scored two touchdowns on passes from senior quarterback Matt Kinnick, covering 14 and 35 yards. Junior running back Jaylon Brown added two rushing scores, including a 66-yarder on the final play of the first quarter. He now has 31 touchdowns this season.
The Huskies lone touchdown was scored by senior running back Maurtice Hython, on a 10-yard run out of the Wildcat formation in the first quarter.
The Red Devils, now 11-0, will play Piketon, 49-27 winners over Minford, next Friday night at 7:30. The sight will be determined on Sunday.
