Steubenville Big Red shutout the Maysville Panthers 28-0 in the opening round of the Ohio Division III Region 11 playoffs at Harding Stadium.

This was Maysville first trip to the Ohio post-season, while it was Steubenville's 67th playoff game.

Steubenville running back Dashon Redmon carried the ball 14 times for 129 yards, including a 45-yard touchdown.

Big Red advances to play West Holmes, 35-7 winners over Indian Creek, next Saturday night at New Philadelphia's Woody Hayes Quaker Stadium.

In other playoff action, Fort Frye lost to Kirtland 49-7 in a Division 5 Quarterfinal.
