Secretary of State Natalie Tennant is the apparent winner in her bid for a second term.
As of 10:10 p.m., Tennant, a Democrat, led Republican challenger Brian Savilla with about 62.5 percent of the vote.
Tennant is a native of Marion County. She was elected secretary of state in 2008. After that election, she was one of several unsuccessful Democratic candidates in last year's special election for governor.
