
Steubenville Big Red saw its season come to an end on Saturday with a 35-7 setback at the hands of the West Holmes Knights at Woody Hayes Quaker Stadium in New Philadelphia.
Trailing 6-0, the Red scored on a Corey Stinson to Kai McClurg 45-yard touchdown pass to make it 7-6 Steubenville.
That would be all scoring for Big Red. West Holmes led 14-7 at the break.
Layne Perone had a pair of rushing touchdowns for the Knights. Garrett Mackay tacked on a seven-yard TD run in the third quarter, and Grant Hay added a 19-yard jaunt in the fourth quarter. Quarterback Gabe Snyder connected with Brady Arnold for a 28-yard touchdown.
Steubenville finishes the season at 9-3.
