West Liberty's Ricchetti Named Player of the Week - WTRF 7 News Sports Weather - Wheeling Steubenville

West Liberty defensive back Marco Ricchetti has been named the West Virginia Conference Defensive Player of the Week, for the third time this season.

Ricchetti, a junior from Martins Ferry High School, made a game-high 10 tackles, was credited with a pass break-up, and had a key interception late in the fourth quarter, in the Hilltoppers' 23-22 upset of UNC-Pembroke at Russek Field.

The victory earned the Hilltoppers a winning season, at 6-5. A much better campaign than last year's one-win season.
