Interstate 70 West is back open after a double fatal accident near the Dallas Pike exit early Monday morning.
According to Ohio County Sheriff Pat Butler, two elderly females with Pennsylvania plates on their car entered I-70 heading in the wrong direction and they were struck head-on by a semi-truck.
Both females were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.
Police continue to investigate.

According to the Ohio County Sheriff's Office, Interstate 70 West remains closed as crews continue to investigate.
Crews do not know when the road will re-open to traffic.
