Thousands of homes in eastern Ohio without power - WTRF 7 News Sports Weather - Wheeling Steubenville

It's a dark and cold Tuesday night for thousands of eastern Ohioans.

A massive power outage has hit homes and businesses in Belmont, Guernsey, and Harrison County.

At the time of this report AEP reported the following outages:

Belmont County - 273

Harrison County - 698

Guernsey County - 1,485

According to officials with AEP, there was a malfunction with a major line that crews are currently working on repairing.

Power restoration is expected sometime around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.
