The JB Chambers YMCA received a nearly $20,000 grant from Chesapeake Energy. The money is intended to help fund the YMCA's Y-Fit-In Program.
The goal of the program is to provide fitness opportunities for Ohio County students with special needs. The program is held monthly and serves between 80 and 140 kids.
The money will go toward things such as lunch for the children, as well as, T-shirts and the purchase of new equipment.
Linda Cole, a Special Education teacher at Wheeling Park High School, says it provides a unique opportunity for the students.
