CHARLESTON (AP) — More than 60 top-performing public
schools and career and technical centers are being honored by West
Virginia education officials.
The West Virginia Board of Education
and state Schools Superintendent Jorea Marple will recognize the
schools at a dinner Thursday night in Charleston.
Three schools
have been named 2012 National Blue Ribbon Schools. Fifty-eight public
schools and six career and technical centers earned exemplary
accreditation from the state Office of Education Performance Audits.
