Georgetown Road remains closed due to tanker turnover - WTRF 7 News Sports Weather - Wheeling Steubenville

Georgetown Road near the Wetzel County and Pa. border is still closed while crews remove an overturned tanker.

According to authorities, a tanker from Dayton, Ohio carrying carbon dioxide to a gas storage field in south eastern Marshall County went over an embankment early Thursday morning around 1:30am on Georgetown Road.

The driver of the vehicle was transported to OVMC in Wheeling.

Cameron VFD & EMS, Marshall County Sheriffs Dept, WV State Police, WV DOH & Marshall County EMA responded to the call.

There were no evacuations.
