Wheeling Jesuit University freshman Justin Fritts scored 31 points in his Cardinals home-debut as WJU pulled away for a 92-66 victory over Tiffin at the McDonough Center.
Fritts, a former "Mr.Ohio" from Mentor High School, drilled all six of his three-point attempts in the first half, and made 7-of-8 attempts from beyond the arc. He was 12-of-14 from the field.
Wheeling Jesuit point guard Ben Seifert followed up a 40-point, 11-rebound effort in the Cards opener with a rare WJU triple-double with 14 assists, 13 points, and 10 rebounds. Joe Prati added a career-high 26 points and seven boards in the win.
The Cardinals, now 2-0, start West Virginia Conference play Tuesday night at Glenville State.
