Marshall County -
The date and time has
been set for the recount in the contested Marshall County Commission race.
The recount is scheduled
for 1 p.m. next Tuesday, Nov. 27.
According to Marshall
County Clerk Jan Pest, the candidates, County Commissioners and representatives
from her office will all be present.
Human error on election
night showed Jake Padlow the initial winner for the Commissioner's seat, but
once the County Clerk's office realized the
mistake, a canvass was held that determined Bob Miller Jr. the winner by just
70 votes.
Pest says although the
situation is unfortunate, she's positive a recount will return the same
results.
