
The Wheeling Nailers outshot the Cincinnati Cyclones 31-16 but wound up on the losing end of a 2-0 decision Saturday night in front of a little over 3,100 fans at WesBanco Arena.
Cincinnati's Garrett Wilson scored both goals, a power-play goal (7) in the third period, followed by an empty-netter (8) in the waning seconds.
Wheeling goaltender Scott Darling took the loss, despite making 29 saves.
The Nailers finished the game 0-4 on the power play, Cincinnati was 4-1 with the man advantage.
