The note found at Union Local Middle school was found at 11:30 a.m. Students were immediately evacuated to the school's football field. An assembly will be held on Tuesday for students to address the situation.

Students at Union Local Middle School were sent home early Monday after a threatening note was found in a school hallway. This is the third threat in less than a week at Union Local schools.

Monday, a threatening note was found at the elementary school and on Wednesday, another note was found written on a restroom stall.

Monday night's Union Local-Martins Ferry girls' basketball game has been moved from Union Local to Martins Ferry due to the threat, according to Superintendent Kirk Glasgow.
