Posted: Updated:

The St.Clairsville Red Devils will play for the Ohio Division IV state championship this Friday at Canton's historic Fawcett Stadium, overlooking the pro football hall of fame.

They take on high-scoring Clinton-Massie out of the South Central Ohio League. The Falcons set a new Ohio high school record this season by scoring 776 points.

Both teams enter the game a perfect 14-0 and it's the first trip to the finals for either team.

The Red Devils knocked off Creston Norwayne in the semis, while Clinton Massie rallied to stun Bishop Hartley.

The St.C offense has been consistent all season, and they're preparing for this one like every other game, with extra emphasis on ball security and  an opportunistic defense.

The St.Clairsville defense needs to come up big again this week they had with two sacks and senior defensive back Dan Monteroso had a pair of interceptions against Norwayne.

The Falcons defense is only allowing six points a game on average and they have five shutouts.

Junior, Bayle Wolf is the work horse, having piled up 1,839 yards and 37 touchdowns, senior Wyatt Running has added 1657 yards rushing and 21 touchdowns.

The game is Friday at 3:00 p.m. in Canton.
