
Nine Ohio Valley middle school teachers will receive McDonald's 'Make Activities Count,' or' MAC' grant checks on Wednesday at the Elm Grove McDonald's. This year's winners include teachers from Bridge Street Middle School, Triadelphia Middle School, Martins Ferry Middle School, Moundsville Middle School and Bellaire Middle School.
This year alone, McDonald's has awarded $25,000 worth of MAC grants to more than 50 teachers throughout the region.
McDonalds owner Ross Stoltz told WTRF.com, " every year we look forward to a group like this. This is the largest group we've had to win so many grants in one year. We're excited to have nine teachers here doing such amazing activities in their classrooms."
Local winners include three teachers from Bridge Street Middle School, Kristy Villani, Julie Schultz and Belynda Laing. Triadelphia Middle School also had three winners, Diana Tucker, Melinda Tripp and Mary E. Dolan. Other winners include Brian Best, from Martins Ferry Middle School, Suzanne Muncy form Moundsville Middle School and Diane Robbins from Bellaire Middle School.
