Wheeling Jesuit Volleyball Team Leaves for National Tourney - WTRF 7 News Sports Weather - Wheeling Steubenville

The No.17 Wheeling Jesuit University volleyball team left for Florida this morning on the way to the NCAA Division II National Tournament.

The Cards are making a second straight trip to the Elite 8, after a victory over Cal. (Pa.) in the Atlantic Regional championship game.

The team left to a heroes' sendoff from the McDonough Center this morning.

Wheeling Jesuit will open tournament play against the No. 7 ranked University of Tampa at the UWF Field House on the campus of University of West Florida. The match is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 6 at 8:30 p.m.

2. Central Regional Champion – Concordia St. Paul (30-4)

3. East Regional Champions – New Haven (30-1)

4. Midwest Regional Champion – Indianapolis (30-7)

7. Southeast Regional Champion – Wingate (32-2)

8. West Regional Champion – BYU Hawaii (24-3)
